Terms And Conditions

Passport / Visa
  • It is your responsibility to check if a visa is required for any country in which you will be traveling, if unsure, visit the SmartTraveller website for more information.

  • You will not generally be permitted to board any plane or vessel unless a passport has six months validity.

  • Any travel on a foreign passport may require a re-entry visa on return to Australia.

  • It is your responsibility to inform us of any passport or visa difficulties.

 

Travel Insurance

We recommend you and all passengers take out travel insurance before departure. Traveling without travel insurance leaves passengers open to the possibility of high costs should there be a medical event or another event due to human error or natural disaster, such as war or COVID-19 outbreaks, and other diseases and pandemics.

General / Specific Travel Advice

It is your responsibility to ensure that they have the required information and advice on traveling to their destination before departure, and strongly advise that they check the Smarttraveller website and register with DFAT before departure in case of emergencies.

Health Precautions

It is your responsibility to be up to date on any vaccinations that are requiredfor the destination country before departure as some countries may denyentry. If in doubt consult a medical specialist, there is also general advice onthe Smarttraveller website.

Prices / Cancellation Fees
  • Prices cannot be guaranteed.

  • All quoted prices are subject to change.

  • Even if paid in full, prices may change for reasons or matters outside our control.

  • Refunds for air tickets and tours are subject to the terms and conditions of airlines and tour operators.

  • Supplier fees may apply when a booking is changed. If we incur a fee for booking you change or cancel, you are responsible for payment.

  • All airfares or services must be paid in full at the time of booking.

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • Local taxes are nonrefundable.

  • Fees and expenses (such as changing fees, re-issue fees, fare differences, airport tax differences, and service fees) will apply for changes to reservations bookings.

  • Charges for excess baggage are the traveler’s responsibility.

 

Travel Documents
  • It is your responsibility to check the accuracy of names corresponding with your passport or identification for domestic and international travel.

  • You are not permitted to travel if your identification/passport does not match the ticket.

  • It is your responsibility to review all travel documents and immediately advise us of errors in names, dates, or timings.

 

Airlines / Cruise Lines
  • Airlines/cruise lines are third-party providers and impose different terms and conditions to the ones imposed by us. Clients should read their Terms and Conditions before finalising any travel bookings.

  • Refunds for promotional and advanced purchase tickets and packages are subject to the terms and conditions of the airlines and operators. Please make sure all details and dates are correct before booking and payment for your trip.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to re-confirm outbound and inbound flights and times.

  • We are not responsible for amended flight timings or other charges.

 

Frequent Flyer

It is your responsibility to inform us of your frequent flyer number if you have one.

Service Providers
  • We act as a travel advisor and sell products on behalf of accommodation, transport, and other providers such as airlines, rail, coach and cruise line operators.

  • We are not a travel provider and, whilst we exercise care, we have no control over or liability for the services provided by the third parties.

  • All bookings are subject to the provider’s Terms and Conditions including conditions of carriage and limits on liability. You should read them before finalizing your transaction.

  • If requested, we can provide a copy of these terms and conditions, however, it is your responsibility to read them.

  • There is also a copy of the terms and conditions on our website which you are encouraged to read and familiarise yourself with.

  • Our service is to arrange and coordinate the service offered by third-party service providers. We arrange a contractual relationship between you and the provider.

  • We cannot guarantee the performance of the service providers.

  • Any brochures are not ours but are supplied by the service providers and we accept no liability for errors in that material.

  • Any lost or damaged luggage is the responsibility of the passenger, airline, and cruise company.

  • We are not responsible for any lost or damaged luggage.

 

Limits and Liability
  • Subject to Australian Consumer Law we are not liable for any damage or interruptions to travel

  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended

 

Governing Law

The governing laws of Australia apply before departure.

Your Responsibilities
  • You warrant that you are over the age of eighteen (18) and have sufficient funds to pay for the travel services.

  • You have read our Terms and Conditions and if booking for third parties have conveyed these Terms and Conditions to them.

  • You have read the Terms and Conditions of any third-party service providers and agree to be bound by those.

  • You are responsible for checking the accuracy of all documents provided to you.

  • You are responsible for contacting the airline at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to travel.

  • You warrant and acknowledge that you have accessed the Smarttravellerwebsite for any specific inquiries in relation to your intended destination.

  • Passport/visa and other required identification documents are your responsibility.

 

Force Majeure

We are not responsible for interruptions to travel due to weather events, political activities, war, natural disasters or foreign or local governmentrestrictions that may be made during travel and reiterate the importance of taking out travel insurance.
